New graphic card :O

I bought a new graphic card (and power adaptor) because my old one was too ..uhh ..old, yeah..

Anyway this one is really cool and one of the latest ones, i believe? My brother told me it was a real gaming card. It took us ages to install bc my brother just randomly plugged out various cables from my computer and didnt know where they had to be plugged in again;; It was nerve-wrecking and i was on the brink of going to a computer-store and let it be installed by pros (which would probably cost a fortune haha) but then i watched 2 different Youtube tutorials and was able to plug them in myself. Ha. Pride level over 9000.
My brother said that now that i have a real gaming card, it would be a complete waste to not play games on my computer...so he kind of installed the latest games so i could try them out and maybe find one i like. haah it's actually nice to play some games again~

The cool thing is that theres a pre-installed recording program which means i could try and record my drawing process; super cool!!

I wanted to draw a random girl in a scarf but it looked like Mikasa so;; i forgot how to draw the harness and was too lazy to look it up;

Also my workplace just called, apparently another lawyer asked if i would want to work for him; which is great. But uni starts in april again; and i quitted law school to study sth that i might like more so its weird to start working in a lawfirm again. I think i should rather focus on my new studies..

anyway, i sort of stopped posting doodles on tumblr/twitter bc i tend to get really self-conscious  :/ . I never get many notes but at the same time i think i dont really deserve any to begin with. Im currently really dissatisfied with my way of coloring and it is super frustrating!! which is why i decided to scribble some half-baked doodles and thus take some time to experiment a bit rather than trying to create a completely finished drawing that i probably wont like anyway ;_; 

I tried getting into the Fate VN again, i played through the first two days of the Fate route and then stopped entirely;; but im getting back!! I wanna redraw various cg's from the game. Idk, i just think that doing redraws is more relaxing for me and helps me to learn (anatomy and such) bc i dont have to concentrate much on what i wanna draw..?

this one's inspired by the cover of the Fate Stay night soundtrack; i always really really liked the illustration; Saber looked so peaceful and its just really beautiful!!

On super unrelated news, i subscribed to a really amazing artist on the new pixiv fanbox feature and he occasionally uploads psd files for learning purposes. Which is why im trying out this greyscale coloring but its so difficult; orz. 

Anyway, im trying to get used to Clip Studio Paint since it is more like Photoshop.

The beautiful brain by Ramon y Cajal

I managed to get my hands on this wonderful artistic book about the brain! It's so interesting and beuatiful i absolutely love it!

Ramon y Cajal a neuroscientist mostly known for his discoverings of the microscopic structure of the brain which he then redrew. The first time, I came in touch with his works was when i made an internship at a brain research institute back in 12th grade. And i've been admiring his drawings ever since. Unfortunately books of these drawings used to cost a fortune so i was really happy when i heard about the release of this book (only around 25€). I just had to buy it!
